FAQ

The questions firms ask before they trust the workflow.

Short answers for the first evaluation. The detail is visible because legal teams should not have to decode a product page.

If the question you came with is not here, it is the one we would rather answer in person.

01

How is this different from an AI answering service?

An answering service takes a message. At the front door Cam qualifies the enquiry against what your firm takes on, books the consultation and drafts the follow-up. On your own line he covers court hours and leaves the reply ready to approve. The phone is one surface. The record underneath it is the product.

02

What happens when I am in court?

Do Not Disturb hands your line to Cam. He answers, takes what the caller needs, logs it against the matter and has the reply drafted for you to approve when you come out.

03

What happens to a consultation once it is over?

You get the write-up: what was agreed, who owes what, by when, filed against the matter. Everyone joins from their own device, including a client with no login, which is what lets the note say who said what. Consent is asked at the door, and audio expires on your retention period.

04

Does Cam know a caller he has spoken to before?

Yes, when the number or email matches a record. He still confirms who is on the line before saying anything about the file, because a phone can be shared and caller ID can be faked. After that the client is not asked to repeat their own file.

05

How does live transfer work?

Each fee-earner sets who gets put through, on which lines and in which hours. Cam checks they are actually free, says he will try rather than promising, and sends the context ahead. If nobody answers inside your hold period he takes a message and hands over the full summary.

06

Does the AI answer every call by default?

No. Firms choose AI-first, human-first fallback after a set ring time, after-hours only, or specific practice-area routing, and each fee-earner controls their own line on top of that. The first-client default is human-first fallback plus after-hours coverage.

07

Can we start without sensitive client data?

Yes. Start with new enquiries only: who called, what about, how urgent, who owns it, what happens next. No open matters, no client files. Turn on the fee-earner side for one or two people later, once you have seen it work.

08

Will lawyers have to live in another tab?

Only if they want to. Whoever runs the firm gets the control room. Fee-earners can work entirely through the phone handoff, email, and calendar they already use, or open WasilX, ask Cam for the rundown, and clear the drafts in one place. Both routes write to the same record.

09

How quickly can a pilot start?

A narrow pilot can start once the staging and production environment, phone path, routing, and escalation rules are configured. The safest first deployment is one office, one phone flow, a couple of fee-earners on their own lines, and one clean management view.
